Q: What are the opening and closing dates for Prizer Point?
We are opening March 17 and closing November 12, 2017.
Q: What are the opening dates and time for the swimming pool?
Our enclosed Pool opens May 1st and the Splash Pool opens for the season on May 22nd. Pool hours are 9am until dusk daily.
Q: Do you have planned Activities?
Yes. Most weekends during spring and fall we have a theme and planned activities. They are subject to change based on weather. See Events.
Q: Your activities list Friday & Saturday night movies. What time do they start?
Movies usually start a little after dusk to ensure that the screen can be seen. Be sure to check in the camp store on the white board to find out what movie is going to be played on the weekend you visit us!
Q: What can we do if it rains?
At Prizer Point Marina & Resort we have an amazing “Convertible Pool” meaning that if there is bad wind or rain we can enclose one of our pools, so you can always go swimming. We do have Candy Bar Bingo depending on the weekend you are at the Resort. You can check with the desk at the Camp Store for more information on our Candy Bar Bingo Days. Board games are also available to check out at the camp store.
Q: Are Generators or Gas Powered Golf Carts and ATVs allowed on property?
No, due to the noise and its impact on other guests, no gas powered golf carts, ATVs or generators are allowed on the park.
Q: Is there a full grocery store nearby?
There is a Food Giant and a Piggly Wiggly in Cadiz which is about 25 minutes from the Resort. There is also a Food Giant in Eddyville that is about 20 minutes away. If you are looking for a Walmart the nearest one is about 30 minutes away.
Q: What towns are nearby?
Cadiz is about 20 minutes away with many fun filled Antique and Boutique style shops. Cadiz also has several Full grocery stores, restaurants, and a local bank. Eddyville is about 20 minutes away from Prizer Point. Eddyville has a variety of restaurants including Subway, Hardees, Oasis Bar & Grill, several new liquor stores, the Food Giant, ACE hardware, and Venture River Family Fun Park (check in the office for discounted tickets).
Q: Where and how far are restaurants on the water?
“The Pier” floating restaurant that is right on the water is located right here at Prizer Point! If you want a good day trip you can try Hub’Es at Kuttawa Harbour, Echo Charlies at Eddie Bay, or The Buzzard Cafe at Buzzard Rock!
Q: What is served at “The Pier”?
The Pier is known for their burgers, fish, and salads.
Q: I have heard Patti’s 1880’s Settlement is a must when in the area. What can you tell me about it?
Patti’s is about 40 minutes away via I-24, or for a beautiful scenic route you can go through the near by Land between the Lakes which takes a little over an hour. By water Patti’s is about 40 minutes away depending on your boat.
